Happy Easter to the few people who read this! I’m back from the Grand Canyon and ready to babble on about miscellaneous things. I’ve got Easter activities today and then my Refer-A-Friend expires in just a couple more days so don’t be expecting a post until Wednesday or later. I promise I’ll try and make it worthwhile to read it! =D. Have a good Easter everyone and Happy Healing!

Paladins of death and a temporary farewell. April 2, 2009

Alright so I know I just started but I’m already taking a break. Going on vacation with the family and the girl. So I’ll be gone from tomorrow until next saturday. But I thought I’d write another post before I left. Last tuesday my guild did a 25 man naxx and we brought a healer that we hadn’t used before and another healer that we know isn’t quite as good as the others we have. Both happened to be paladins. When it came to patchwerk I was asked to assign healers so assign I did. I assigned the four veteran healers, including myself, to heal the main tank and the tank that would be taking the most hatefuls. I threw the two paladins, each with their beacon on a different tank, onto the third tank that was going to be taking the hatefuls that got away from the second tank. First attempt rolls around. Wipe. Second attempt. Wipe. Third attempt. Myself and the other healer on the main tank ended up trying to heal the main tank and the third tank which ended in, you guessed it, a wipe. So finally, since it’s not in my authority to call out people on their performance, the raid leader asked what the hell was going on with the healers. I was the only one who answered and I was able to do it in one word. Paladins. Turns out they’d been putting their beacon on the wrong target and healing the other wrong target. After the raid leader had a stern talking to them about listening to what their jobs are and actually healing their assigned target, we were able to down patchwerk. Normally it takes one attempt. So I guess what I’m trying to get at is that I don’t understand how it’s possible to not do your job, not because you made a mistake but because you just didn’t do what you were supposed to after clear instructions have been given? If anyone is reading this, Does anyone have any horrible story of bad players? Anyways, I’ll see you all later. Hope this vacation doesn’t turn out sucking.

Good afternoon! Considering that this is the first post I’ve written, I highly doubt that anyone is reading this. But just in case someone is I’ll introduce myself. My name is Alex and I’m addicted to Warcrack. I play a Restoration Shaman and a DPS Death Knight on Stonemaul(US). I’ve been healing with my chain for just about a year and a half now and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. I came up with the name for my blog one night when my mom started playing “Singing in the Rain” during a raid. Immediately after having the idea I decided to sing the entire version i had come up with to my raid. I was top healing that fight and 73% of healing was chain heal. =D Anyways, anyone who cares to read this, I will be ranting here on any subject that has to do with WoW from the point of view of a resto shammy. It may end up being helpful to some, interesting to others or simply boring to everyone else but me. We’ll see how that goes. If someone has a suggestion please feel free to contact me.

Thanks,

                   Scandium.
